CERVÉLO S5

The S5 is the aero bike and it makes no apology for being one. Deep tube shapes, a fully integrated front end and a cockpit designed in the wind tunnel rather than by eye. This is the bike for flat roads, fast groups and the days when the thing you are fighting is the wind rather than the gradient.

Aero bikes used to arrive with a weight penalty and a servicing headache attached. The current S5 has largely engineered both out, which is why you now see it under riders who would once have insisted on a lightweight frame. Choosing between this and the R5 mostly comes down to whether your roads go up or along.
