Buying a bike online usually means taking whatever specification came in the box, from a company where nobody will ever ride it. We build every bike here by hand, one at a time, which means yours can be built the way you want it.
Your spec, not ours
The cheapest time to change anything on a bike is before it is built. Doing it afterwards means re-cabling, bleeding brakes and re-taping bars, so we would rather do it at the build stage.
Saddle, stem, bars, wheels, tyres, cranks, bar tape, groupset, pedals, luggage, mudguards. If you want something different from what the bike comes with, ask. We do not charge for the work. If the part costs more than the one it replaces, you pay the difference and nothing else.
Add a note to your order when you check out, or ring us on 0141 552 0841 before your bike is built. Very few bikes leave here exactly as they arrived from the manufacturer, and stem and tyre changes are the most common.
Send us your numbers
If you have had a bike fit, send us the sheet and we will set your bike to that position before it is packed. If you have not, your saddle height and the make and model of the bike you ride now is usually enough for us to get close.
Reply to your order confirmation with the numbers, or ring the shop. It costs nothing, and it means the bike is close to right the moment you have finished building it up.
A person, not an order number
Ring 0141 552 0841 and someone will go and look at your bike. Not a chatbot and not a tracking page, but a person in the shop who can walk through to the workshop and tell you where it is and what has been done to it.
The same is true afterwards. If something is not right six months from now, you are ringing the shop that built it.
What turns up
Every bike is fully assembled and safety checked by our Cytech trained mechanics, then partly disassembled and carefully repacked for the courier.
At your end there are three jobs: straighten and tighten the handlebars, fit the front wheel, and fit the pedals if your bike comes with them. There is a guide in the box telling you which tools you need.
Take your time over the pedals. They are marked L and R, they need a little grease, and they have to go into the matching crank.

If it is not right
You have 60 days to send it back. We would rather you rang us first, because a good deal of what feels wrong on a new bike is a setup question we can solve over the phone in ten minutes. But if it is not the bike for you, our returns policy is here.
