Cannondale started in a Connecticut loft in 1971, making precast concrete housing, then bicycle trailers, then bags, before getting round to building a bike in 1984. When they did it was aluminium, TIG welded, and oversized where everyone else was thin and steel. That instinct never really left. The Headshok, the CAAD frames people still hunt down secondhand, Hollowgram cranks, BB30. Five decades of doing it their own way.

This is a focused selection rather than the full Cannondale catalogue. The SuperSix EVO is the road racer the brand is best known for, light and stiff without being punishing over a long day. The Quick is the other end of the same thinking, flat bar, upright and easy to live with. Alongside them sit Cannondale pumps, bar tape and bottles.
