It is built for long days on roads that are a long way from perfect, with clearance for a wider tyre and a more forgiving ride than the race frames, plus the lighter carbon and better finishing kit that separate it from the standard Caledonia.

If you are weighing it against the standard Caledonia, the geometry and the intent are identical. What the extra money buys is the frame material, the wheels and the cockpit. Both bikes do the same job, the -5 just does it lighter and with better parts hanging off it.
