Teravail

An American gravel tyre brand out of Minneapolis that makes one decision unusually easy. Most Teravail treads come in two casings. Light and Supple is thin walled and quick and you feel the ground through it. Durable adds a protective layer and some weight, and you stop thinking about your sidewalls. Same tread, two quite different tyres, and which one suits you depends entirely on what you ride over.

The treads sort themselves by terrain. Cannonball is the fast, low profile one for hardpack and road sections. Rutland has considerably more bite for loose ground and mud. Washburn and Sparwood sit in between, for mixed surfaces where you are not certain what is coming next.

Most of the range is tubeless ready. If you have not made the switch yet it is worth the afternoon it takes, because gravel punctures are almost always small enough for sealant to deal with before you have noticed.
