The Áspero is shaped to go fast on loose ground rather than to carry luggage across a continent, with the aerodynamic thinking carried over from the road bikes and clearance for a proper tyre. If you are coming to gravel from the road, an Áspero will feel familiar in a way that most gravel bikes do not. The geometry is closer to a road bike than to a tourer, so it steers quickly and holds a line at speed, and a set of slicker tyres turns it into a very capable road bike for the winter.
