The ‘KR-810’ is a full monocoque design using super stiff 3k woven carbon. A monocoque frame does not use lugs that inevitably weaken and lead to frame failure. Monocoque construction ensures maximum stability, maximum reaction to force and maximum rigidity compared to classic glued or taped carbon fibre frames. Care has been taken to tune the characteristics of the carbon lay-up to ensure stiffness, stability and response where it is required and yet enough compliance for rider comfort. The super-stiff ‘Kbox’ bottom bracket and ‘A-Frame’ seatstays are examples of this approach. The geometry is ‘semi-compact’ [slightly sloping top tube on larger sizes, more slope on the smaller sizes] with 5 sizes and the weight is just over 1kg [for the 47cm c/t frame without fork]. The frame is not 'over stretched' and the riding position is not too 'nose down' making it ideal for longer distance and sportive events.
